Johnson, elegant yet intense, is impeccable.

Guardian

Ben Johnson’s tour de force as Petrus at the end of the first half (five arias and two recitatives, all practically adjoining) was breathtaking

Music OMH

Ben Johnson exhibits a pure tone and faultless intonation, and his high singing in ‘Die Perlen meine Seele’ (The Pearls of My Soul) is especially memorable.
